Breast Cancer Survival Judy Necklace, Sterling Silver and Tourmaline Breast Cancer Survival Necklace
I designed and handcrafted this necklace in honor of a friend who recently survived her brush with breast cancer. My mother is also a survivor. As I realized that nearly everyone I know has been touched by this disease, I began making survival pieces to symbolize the personality and the recovery journey of each woman close to me to be affected. I was inspired by the healing herb butcher's broom to create this piece, and the 16" double link chain signifies strength. As pink is the symbolic color of the fight against breast cancer, I chose a lovely AA pink tourmaline gemstone for the center of the piece. I craft each of my pieces from recycled and eco-friendly sterling silver.
It is a beautiful statement of grace and survival. Every time I craft one I am reminded of how grateful I am to continue to have these friends and family in my life.
